What you will be doing
* Assisting with general tidying around the centre, including brochure stands, displays and public areas.
* Helping with simple maintenance tasks such as wiping surfaces, organising materials, or refreshing signage.
* Supporting staff with small projects like preparing information packs or setting up for events.
* Helping keep storage areas organised and easy to navigate.
* Lending a hand wherever unexpected tasks pop up throughout the day.
* The role is intentionally varied – no two shifts look exactly the same.
Why this matters
A well‐run Visitor Centre relies on lots of little tasks being done consistently. When the space is tidy, organised and functioning smoothly, visitors have a better experience and staff can focus on providing great service. Your willingness to help with the "in between" jobs keeps everything flowing and makes a real difference behind the scenes.
The best bit?
You get to be the "go‐to" helper – the person who swoops in and makes things easier for everyone. There is a real sense of satisfaction in ticking off small tasks that add up to a big impact. The variety keeps things interesting, and you will get to be part of a friendly, supportive team.
