The Role: As a Principal Recruitment Consultant at Xtrava Group, you'll be a trusted partner to some of the world's most respected mining and industrial companies.
This role requires someone who is capable of opening up client relationships, understanding their needs, tailoring talent solutions and being able to deliver on those solutions on a consistent basis.
We operate almost exclusively on 100% retained search mandates, and help shape the leadership teams for the global resources, OEM and industrial technology sectors.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and deliver retained executive search assignments for leadership roles across global mining, materials, and industrial clients – from site-based operational leaders to corporate executives.
Partner closely with clients to understand their business strategy, culture, and leadership needs, ensuring every assignment is delivered with accuracy, transparency, and impact.
Drive research and market mapping activities, identifying and engaging high-calibre candidates across multiple geographies using a systematic, data-driven approach.
Lead structured interview and assessment processes, presenting clear, evidence-based shortlists and insights that support informed hiring decisions.
Build and maintain long-term partnerships with C-suite and senior stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor on leadership, structure, and market trends.
Business development through relationship building, thought leadership, and supporting proposals or client presentations that reflect our values and quality standards.
Play an active role in strategic growth, helping refine processes, contribute to global projects, and enhance Xtrava Group's reputation as a premium leadership search partner.
Attributes: Experienced in executive or technical recruitment, ideally within mining, resources, engineering, or broader industrial sectors, with a track record of delivering senior-level search assignments.
Commercially astute and curious, able to quickly understand complex business environments, organisational structures, and leadership requirements.
Relationship-driven and credible, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and building trust across multiple levels and regions.
Motivated by purpose, not just performance, with a genuine interest in helping clients build better teams and candidates find meaningful career opportunities.
Process-oriented and detail-focused, ensuring every stage of the search reflects transparency, professionalism, and quality delivery.
