Maintenance Operations Manager Role Overview:
The Maintenance Operations Manager will oversee maintenance activities across various facilities, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
* Develop scope of works, undertake tender process, review quotes, and award maintenance works to external contractors.
* Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and internal operations for scheduled maintenance shutdowns.
* Onsite supervision of medium to large-scale maintenance works.
* Holding effective site toolbox meetings with contractors and internal staff undertaking maintenance activities.
* Ensure all work is carried out according to the safety management system and applicable standards.
Responsibilities:
* Identify and manage changes to planned work scopes, including impacts on schedule and budget.
* Work with the Asset Manager to develop and manage fixed plant maintenance plans.
* Liaise with internal and external customers and suppliers in a professional manner.
* Carry out related work order administration and reporting requirements.
* Lead responses to critical equipment breakdowns, including containment actions and minor repairs.
* Conduct root cause analyses to understand and prevent future equipment breakdowns.
* Develop technical standards related to equipment.
* Lead condition assessments of equipment and prioritize action plans.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar role within manufacturing or infrastructure facilities.
* Engineering or trade qualifications highly desirable.
* Previous experience supervising medium-sized maintenance works, including leading contractors.
* A strong commitment and focus on safety.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
