Buderim Eye Centre is a private ophthalmic specialist practice located at the specialist suites at Buderim Private Hospital. Our business is expanding and we are looking for an experienced part-time Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join our team of Drs, clinical and administrative staff. Previous experience in a specialist practice is preferred.
This role involves a high level of accuracy, efficiency and the ability to multi-skill and prioritise tasks whilst working on a busy reception desk. You will be working with an experienced team of Administrators who will provide the appropriate training.
Responsibilities will include the following using Xestro (cloud-based patient management system):
* All reception duties including phone, making appointments, check in and check out of patient
* Invoicing, receipting, batching of Medicare and Health Funds
* Rejections and resubmissions of Medicare and Health Funds
* Banking and reconciliations
* Surgical bookings and billing
* Management of internal referrals and correspondence
* Management of external letters to referrers
* Triaging patients for appointments
* Appointment book management
