Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team in a commercial bakery environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking, with the ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced kitchen.
The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, rolls, savoury twists, and sweet products according to company recipes and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare doughs for breads, rolls, savoury twists, and sweet products.
* Bake products to meet quality standards.
* Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients accurately.
* Operate bakery ovens, mixers, proofers, and other machinery safely.
* Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product appearance.
* Apply finishes such as glazing, icing, or toppings as required.
* Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality control.
* Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
* Maintain cleanliness of work areas, utensils, and equipment.
* Assist in stock rotation, ingredient storage, and ordering supplies as needed.
* Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and improve processes.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Baking (or equivalent qualification).
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a baker in a commercial bakery environment.
* Sound knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards.
* Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
* Strong teamwork, time management, and attention to detail.
