With continued growth across our Mungari Operations, we are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Electrical Maintenance to join our NonProcess Infrastructure team.
This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to an experienced mining electrician who loves being out in the field. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing non‐process electrical and communications infrastructure across surface, underground, open pit, and remote locations, while coordinating contractors and meeting statutory requirements.
This role is physical and may require working at heights, and travelling to remote locations to keep critical infrastructure operating.
Key responsibilities
* Lead day‐to‐day non‐process electrical maintenance activities on site
* Co‐ordinate and oversee contractors to ensure safe, efficient execution of work
* Carry out isolations, inspections, audits, and corrective actions
* Fault‐find and maintain electrical and communications infrastructure
* Attend remote bush locations to maintain and repair communications hubs when required
* Support infrastructure projects and maintenance execution planning
* Ensure full compliance with statutory, site, and safety requirements, including S26 coverage
About you
You are a trade‐qualified mining electrician who understands the realities of site work and is comfortable taking ownership in the field. You are practical, safety‐focused, and confident with routine maintenance and fault‐finding activities.
You lead from the front, coordinating contractors, meeting statutory obligations, and getting hands‐on when required. You are comfortable making decisions, prioritising work, and responding to reactive breakdowns while maintaining safe work practices.
You will be a residential employee based in Kalgoorlie or willing to relocate from within Australia, working a 5:2:4:3 roster (10‐hour days).
Desired skills and experience
* A Western Australian Electrical Licence (essential)
* Proven experience working in a mining environment (essential)
* Statutory Supervisor (S26) accreditation (essential)
* Strong hands‐on experience across non‐process electrical infrastructure
* The physical capability to safely carry out field‐based work, including working at heights
* The ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions in the field
* Proven experience coordinating contractors and managing competing priorities
* Experience with communications systems, cabling, and site communications infrastructure is highly desirable
