Your new role
As Business Services Manager, you'll be the key point of contact for a portfolio of SME and professional-services clients. You'll oversee the delivery of accounting, tax and advisory services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and value. Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing year-end accounts, ITRs, BAS/IAS, FBT, payroll tax, CGT, GST, and Div 7A compliance.
* Leading and mentoring junior and intermediate staff, including coordination with offshore team members.
* Partnering with Directors on planning, structuring, and growth-focused advisory projects.
* Maintaining proactive, high-touch client relationships and identifying advisory opportunities.
* Reviewing SMSF financials and returns, and liaising with auditors (SMSF experience highly regarded).
What you'll need to succeed
You're a confident, client-facing leader with a strong technical foundation and a passion for developing people. Your profile includes:
* CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent) with 6-10+ years in Business Services.
* Deep understanding of Australian tax and accounting standards; confident in reviewing work.
* Proven ability to manage client relationships with professionalism and polish.
* Experience leading small teams and delivering high-quality outcomes on time.
* Familiarity with Xero/XPM (or similar); strong work-paper and review discipline.
* SMSF experience is a plus; exposure to sports/entertainment clients welcome but not essential.
