* Salary range (Level B) $114,917 to $135,932 pro‐rata plus 17% superannuation
* Lead and coordinate a national healthcare data initiative, driving stakeholder collaboration, project delivery, and evidence‐based research outcomes across Australia
As a Research Fellow within the Quality Use of Medicines and Pharmacy Research Centre, you will play a leading role in coordinating and delivering the Australian Health Data Evidence Network (AHDEN), a nationally significant initiative led in partnership with the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC).
In this role, you will provide high‐level project coordination, stakeholder engagement, strategic oversight, and operational support to ensure the successful delivery and long‐term sustainability of this complex national healthcare data initiative. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the AHDEN jurisdictional nodes in South Australia, Queensland, Victoria, NSW, and the ACT, while providing project management leadership and support to project partners and team members.
You will also coordinate and oversee key project activities, including resource allocation, reporting, risk management, process improvement, and compliance with contractual, policy, and regulatory requirements to support the successful delivery of AHDEN objectives.
Working collaboratively with the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC), project partners, and internal stakeholders, you will contribute to the delivery of complex research project outcomes through strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, budget and subcontract support, systems thinking, and operational oversight. You will also support effective communication and governance across the project by contributing to steering committee activities, preparing reports and briefings, and helping to deliver a consistent and integrated approach to research administration and project delivery.
Qualifications
* PhD qualification in a healthcare‐related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and expertise.
Experience
* Advanced technical capacity using statistical software (such as SAS, Stata, R, Python) and demonstrated experience conducting analyses of large datasets.
* Demonstrated attention to detail in the maintenance of data.
* Knowledge of the ethical and regulatory requirements associated with research.
* Understanding of confidentiality and privacy laws as relates to the use of medical and health related data.
* Demonstrated competency in recording, analysing, presenting and disseminating research to stakeholders.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills combined with the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, but with considerable autonomy.
* Demonstrated high‐level organisational skills to manage competing demands and meet project timelines.
* Demonstrated experience in the leadership and coordination of activities.
