Job Title: General Manager, Health Safety
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our health, safety, wellbeing and environment functions across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team and drive innovation and excellence in these critical areas.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic plans and frameworks to ensure the highest level of health, safety and environmental performance. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, implementing best practice procedures and policies, and providing guidance and support to employees at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and implementation of health, safety and environmental strategies and policies
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks
* Implement best practice procedures and policies
* Provide guidance and support to employees at all levels
* Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards
Requirements:
* At least 15 years of experience in HSE roles, with minimum of 5 in senior leadership
* WHS - Formal qualifications are essential
* Ability to lead and mentor a group of HSE professionals based around Australia
* Strong communication and influencing skills
* Membership of the AIHS as a signatory to its code of ethics, will be highly regarded
