About the role
We are currently seeking a Learning Club Coordinator to join our growing team. The Learning Club Coordinator is a vital role within the Learning for Life Programs, responsible for the delivery of The Smith Family Learning Clubs to engage students in their academic learning. The position includes implementation and facilitation of the program, coordination and supervision of tutors and participants.
To ensure the successful delivery of the Learning for Life Club program you must be willing to communicate and liaise with key stakeholders, maintain appropriate duty of care and child protection policies and ensure relevant evaluation is completed.
Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the weekly management and administrative tasks enabling smooth and efficient running of the Learning Club program.
* Supervise and support volunteer tutors to implement learning practices during Learning Club sessions run out of our partner primary schools.
* Ensure the duty of care of volunteer tutors and implementation of The Smith Family child protection policy during the club.
* Plan and maintain resources for each learning club session in collaboration with the Program Coordinator.
* Maintain regular communication with the Program Coordinator on overall delivery and matters related to student safety, health and welfare.
About you
Learning Club Coordinators come from varied backgrounds with different skills and experience. As well as a passion for community and fostering student success, you will bring:
* Experience working with children, preferably within a child‐related field.
* Clear behaviour management strategies that support students.
* Experience managing volunteer tutors.
* High level of literacy, written and verbal skills.
* Knowledge of challenges affecting disadvantaged students and students with additional supports.
* Demonstrated commitment to learning, developing skills and sharing knowledge.
