National Workforce, a division of NW People are seeking an experienced and driven Recruitment Business/Branch Manager to lead our Gold Coast (Nerang) branch. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving growth, profitability, and team performance while ensuring compliance and a strong safety culture. The operation from Nerang is well established and has a strong list of national and local clients. Recruitment Managers with previous experience will be held in high regard and preferred.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Regional Director, you will lead a team of Recruitment Consultants and Account Managers. This is a hands‐on position, and we encourage business managers to take on all levels of responsibility. You will take full ownership of the branch's performance, growing the existing client base organically and with new clients. Business Development is requirement for this role and applicants will need to demonstrate a track record of successfully onboarding new clients.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sales growth, market share, and gross profit performance
Manage and retain existing clients while generating new business opportunities
Oversee and optimise consulting and account management functions
Lead, mentor, and manage staff performance, including regular reviews
P&L responsibility and accountability
Manage branch expenditure and financial planning, including annual budgeting and forecasting
Lead recruitment processes including interviewing and onboarding new staff
Facilitate weekly reporting and monthly team meetings
Build strong client relationships, including occasional after‐hours engagement
Ensure full compliance with internal systems and the Integrated Management System
Leadership & Authority
You will have full responsibility for the day‐to‐day operations and decision‐making within the Business Unit, ensuring alignment with broader organisational goals.
Work Health & Safety (WHS)
Promote and maintain a strong safety first culture
Ensure all staff are trained and compliant with WHS policies and procedures
Monitor and review safety systems and practices
Report hazards, incidents, and injuries in accordance with procedures
Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to client safety requirements
About You
Proven experience in a management role in a recruitment company
Strong background in Account Management and Recruitment/Consulting
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a manager or show you can progress to a business manager position
Excellent communication and people skills
Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence, and drive results
Strong commercial acumen and leadership capability
