**The Opportunity**
DFP Recruitment are currently supporting a medium to large Federal Government agency in sourcing a
**APS5 Case Officer** for a national program.
This contract offers a generous hourly rate with accrued leave, overtime and 15.4% superannuation.

**Responsibilities**
- Communicate with applicants, nominees and relevant institutions including making telephone calls including about the decisions from Independent Decision Makers.
- Keep accurate and comprehensive records (including report writing, case notes, and official records).
- Advise applicants on relevant legislation, policy, procedures, and payments.
- Resolve applicant enquiries.
- Maintain an ability to maintain a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
**About You**
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Ability to interpret complex information and identify key aspects to support validation, assessment, and recommendation processes.
- High level research and analytical skills to make accurate conclusions based on information and evidence.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-awareness and ability to self-manage in a complex, changing environment whilst in a diverse team with high workload in a high-risk environment.
- Empathy and understanding and communicates effectively in a trauma informed way including through letters and reports.
- Sound judgement and logical reasoning in decision making and is accurate when dealing with detailed information and documentation.
