Coomera State Special School is a Queensland public special school supporting students from Prep to Year 12 with significant intellectual disabilities. Applicants Must Demonstrate
* Ability to plan and deliver inclusive, differentiated teaching and learning programs aligned to the Australian Curriculum, including adjusted and alternative pathways, with a focus on students engaging below foundation level
* Experience developing and implementing Individual Curriculum Plans (ICPs) or personalised learning plans
* Strong capacity to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, teacher aides, and specialist staff
Highly Desirable
* Experience teaching in a special school, special education unit, or inclusive education setting
* Experience supporting students with disability, including intellectual disability, autism, and/or complex needs
* Knowledge or experience using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems
* Experience working alongside allied health professionals
* Willingness to contribute to whole-school initiatives and improvement agendas
