What You'll Do
* Lead by example, modelling WesTrac values and promoting a strong safety and accountability culture.
* Ensure all safety procedures, Life Saving Rules, and safe working practices are followed, including completing Safe Act Observations and reporting hazards.
* Develop and maintain accurate repair schedules by reviewing forecasts, confirming labour and resource availability, collaborating with Workshop Leaders, and keeping real‐time schedule tracking to meet customer timeframes.
* Monitor and report flat rate variances to ensure jobs remain within budget and cost recovery processes are followed in line with Work Order Policy.
* Support timely customer invoicing by managing variances effectively so monthly targets are met and budgets are maintained.
* Coordinate vendors to ensure supplies, services, and documentation are delivered accurately, safely, and on time, maintaining quality and compliance so repairs stay on schedule and meet customer requirements.
* Liaise with Stores and stakeholders to track repair progress, consolidate required parts, and support scheduled work delivery while maintaining strong relationships and meeting customer and project expectations.
* Drive continuous improvement by identifying and actioning process enhancements, promoting CPS practices, and participating in CPS activities to improve workshop efficiency and team performance.
Skills & Experience
* Mechanical Trade Certificate required with minimum 2 years post qualification experience within a maintenance role.
* 25 years experience in planning / scheduling, workshop coordination, or a similar technical planning role.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical and organisational skills.
* Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical information quickly.
* Proficiency with MS Projects and Excel.
