Teacher - Secondary Generalist - Complex Behaviour Support

This is a permanent full‐time position commencing Term 3, 2026.

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teacher – Secondary Generalist – Complex Behaviour Support to join our team. This role combines a 0.7 FTE teaching position (potentially across a range of learning areas) plus a specialised Complex Behaviour Support (CBS) component of 0.3 FTE.

Please note that the Complex Behaviour component of the role is linked to funding, currently approved through to the end of 2026. If this funding ceases, the position will transition to a full‐time teaching role to ensure ongoing employment.

Role Overview

The Complex Behaviour Support Teacher will work collaboratively with the school leadership team to develop and implement a whole‐school framework to support students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
* Strengthen whole‐school approaches that support student wellbeing, engagement (behaviour, attendance and participation) and learning.
* Implement connected, tiered systems of support across universal, targeted and intensive levels.
* Build the capacity of staff to plan for and respond to students with complex needs.
* Use data and evidence to inform planning and decision‐making.
* Identify preconditions for improved student outcomes.
* Implement coordinated, targeted and intensive interventions aligned to student need.
