At NetComm, we've been connecting the world for over 40 years - designing and building innovative broadband products that connect homes, businesses, and industries across the globe. From Fixed Wireless to Fibre Extension and Home Broadband, our technology keeps people connected where it matters most.

Our commitment to innovation has made us pioneers in Fixed Wireless Access, creating the world's first 5G self-install solution and revolutionizing how carriers deploy broadband services.

Our mission is to listen to our customers and apply bold, innovative thinking to solve complex problems and connect the world.

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager in either our Sydney or Melbourne office to drive the development of new products from concept to launch. You will steer the planning, execution and delivery of engineering programs across our product portfolio, bringing innovative connected-device hardware to market on time, on cost and on quality.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR FOCUS?

* Manage and control all phases of product development using best-practice program management methodologies.
* Develop and own detailed project plans, schedules and delivery roadmaps for engineering programs from concept through launch, balancing time, cost and quality.
* Develop project cost estimations and champion cost management across the program lifecycle.
* Drive day-to-day execution by tracking milestones, managing dependencies and keeping teams unblocked.
* Track and manage project issues and risks proactively, escalating to senior leadership as needed.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams, including Hardware, Software, Product Management, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, to align scope, priorities and trade-offs.
* Manage external stakeholders including contract manufacturers, ODMs and commercial partners to ensure delivery commitments are met.
* Establish and run the rhythm of business for the engineering organisation, including weekly project health reporting on time, cost and risk, leadership reviews, retrospectives and KPI tracking.
* Conduct project closure activities including handover, lessons learned and post-launch reviews to ensure knowledge is captured and reused.
* Support the Engineering Director on departmental initiatives such as operational improvements, process design and cross-team programs.
* Identify improvement areas in our program management processes and propose solutions that deliver quality products more efficiently.
* Translate between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure decisions are made with the right context.
* Apply structured program management practices across both agile and stage-gate development cycles.
* Embody NetComm's mission to listen, innovate, solve, and connect, while consistently demonstrating the organisation's signature behaviours in every way.

WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR IN YOU?

* Substantial years of program or project management experience, ideally within product manufacturing or hardware development.
* Possess telecommunications, networking or connected devices industry experience.
* Strong understanding of product development lifecycles, including concept, design, validation and production phases.
* Proven experience managing time, cost and quality across complex product development programs.
* Experience managing external suppliers, contract manufacturers or engineering capacity to deliver milestones.
* Proficient with standard program management tooling such as MS Project, Jira and Confluence.
* Track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor messaging from engineer to executive.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced cross-functional teams.
* Desirable technical background (e.g. computer science, software or electrical engineering).
* PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certification is preferred.
* Proactive mindset to support operational excellence at scale.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

* Inclusive and collaborative working environment.
* Flexible working arrangements and hybrid WFH model.
* Exposure to innovative technology.
* Professional development and training opportunities.
* Regular wellbeing and diversity focused initiatives.
* Various perks, including company-sponsored insurance, recognition awards and others to look forward to.

We believe in the value of a vibrant, diverse and inclusive workforce where our team members feel valued, respected and empowered to be bold, innovative and create strong connections with the world.

We embrace differences and we welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ people and people with disabilities.
