Overview
Leading Teacher – Grade 3 – Loddon Mallee – Mildura. Ongoing full‐time position.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the implementation of whole‐school improvement initiatives related to the school strategic plan and priorities.
* Lead and manage curriculum planning and delivery, as well as professional development and staff development plans.
* Oversee staff performance and development reviews.
* Demonstrate teaching through demonstration lessons.
* Lead development of assessment and reporting policies and practices.
* Lead implementation of operations and policies related to student welfare and discipline.
* Develop curriculum in a major learning area and participate in curriculum development in other areas.
* Handle general discipline matters beyond classroom teachers.
* Contribute to overall school leadership and management.
* Contribute to proposals for school council consideration.
* Develop and manage school code of conduct.
Qualifications and Eligibility
* Registered or eligible to register with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, qualified to teach and/or experienced in the curriculum area(s) specified.
* Provisional or full registration approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
* For those who completed an Australian postgraduate level initial teaching program on or after 1 January 2024, demonstration of satisfactory completion of a postgraduate level accredited initial teacher education program.
* Graduation from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education program after 1 July 2016 and having passed the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE) requirements.
