Role: Senior SAP HR/Payroll Developer
Client: Australian Federal Police
Proposed Rate & term - $150 per hour including Super | 12 month initial contract + 12 month extension option
Location & work arrangements - ACT preferred (National optional) - hybrid - The primary office is in Canberra, however working remotely from an alternate location (including work from home) or flexible work arrangements may be considered. All required travel to and from location will be at the candidate's expense.
Overview
Software Engineers have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Services, delivered in collaboration with and under supervision by nominated AFP personnel, include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Configure and unit test upgrades and legislation changes
* Analyse, correct and unit test identified issues and bugs
* Undertake parallel pay runs
* Undertake system and data integrity testing
* Analyse and evaluate payroll procedures, documentation systems and system documentation
* Provide transitional support at the go live stage
* Work flexibly and collaboratively with SAP Admin Help and Support and Payroll Services teams and be available to be contacted outside of contract hours for issues with pay runs
* Build relationships and work collaboratively with senior leadership with relevant teams
* Support the SAP Capability team to ensure accurate testing for both BAU and project activities
* Provide input and support to ensure that relevant training documentation exists
* Mentor junior team members to ensure appropriate knowledge transfer takes place
* Assist in the provision of relevant HR and Payroll training, as and when required
* Work effectively in a small team environment
* Record and maintain files/information in accordance with AFP requirements
