Pay rate: $124.66 per hour plus 12% super
Requirements: Must have full working rights in Australia and hold/have the ability to obtain: General Construction Induction Card (White Card), Asbestos Awareness Card, and Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention Card.
Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Land and Urban Development Manager to join a large public sector organisation delivering major urban development and infrastructure projects. This role will focus on managing complex development initiatives from concept through to completion, supporting the delivery of sustainable, community-focused, and strategically planned developments. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will contribute to large-scale urban renewal and greenfield projects that support long‐term growth and community outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, government stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and community representatives to deliver high‐quality project outcomes aligned with strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
* Manage the full lifecycle of development projects including planning, design, approvals, procurement, construction, and project close‐out.
* Deliver projects in line with agreed timelines, budgets, revenue targets, and operational objectives.
* Prepare high‐quality reports, executive briefs, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
* Lead procurement, governance, contract management, and compliance activities.
* Identify and manage project risks, including legislative, environmental, and safety requirements.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across government, industry, and the community.
* Represent the organisation in meetings, negotiations, and stakeholder forums.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, and contractors.
* Support innovative and design‐led approaches to development delivery.
* Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to support project delivery outcomes and contractual arrangements.
Experience / Requirements
* Demonstrated experience managing complex development, infrastructure, or urban projects.
* Strong project management skills, including management of budgets, timelines, consultants, and contractors.
* Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports for varied audiences.
* Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability.
* Ability to work effectively in fast‐paced and evolving environments.
* Experience in procurement, governance, contract management, and risk management processes.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in project management, construction management, engineering, architecture, urban planning, property, or related disciplines are highly desirable.
* Experience within land development, urban renewal, infrastructure, or large‐scale development environments will be highly regarded.

Pre‐requisite Qualifications and/or Experience
* Hold a relevant professional qualification or accreditation with a professional body (Engineering, Architecture, Project Management) recognised within Australia, or
* Have significant planning and/or infrastructure knowledge through project management experience.
