About the Role

The Pricing Analyst sits within the Commercial and Consumer Markets function and supports both Customer and Commercial Insurance. As a Pricing Analyst, you will play a key role in improving product profitability and ensuring strong financial oversight across our insurance portfolios.
What You'll Do
- Work with a Senior Pricing Advisor or Data Scientist to develop, recommend and implement pricing solutions that meet financial and non-financial objectives.
- Use your strong understanding of insurance data assets to extract, manipulate and analyse data for business needs.
- Develop processes and tools that identify business opportunities by monitoring market conditions and performance against Budget and P & L.
- Interpret large data sets to identify emerging trends and produce clear, insightful reporting that tracks portfolio performance and drives continuous improvement.
- Identify, investigate and introduce new data sources to enhance reporting suites.
- Champion innovation by improving current processes and automating where possible.
- Provide pricing and analytical advice to internal stakeholders, including responding to ad hoc queries and translating technical insights into practical business recommendations.
- Follow compliance processes and standards.
- Take ownership of your development plan and ongoing professional learning.
What You'll Bring
- Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in data science, Actuarial Studies, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science or a related field.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications are desirable.
- Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.
- Experience in general insurance analytics or pricing is valued but not essential.
- Experience with SAS, R, Python, or SQL is highly regarded.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast‑paced, project‑based team environment.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
- A curious mindset and a willingness to innovate and improve how things are done.
