Due to continued customer demand, our Welshpool facility is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector who understands the importance of efficiency, quality and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all products, materials, and processes meet stringent industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct pre- and post-inspections on a variety of threaded connections
* Maintain detailed inspection records and issue quality documentation
* Identify non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Report to senior inspector to resolve quality issues
* Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
* Operate in processing areas when required i.e. blasting and surface treatment
* Assist in manifesting and packing goods for shipment
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a QA Inspector in the Oil & Gas industry
* Must have experience with API 7-1 and 7-2, and DS-1 quality standards
* Previous experience with OCTG drilling and Premium thread technology is essential
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Proficient in using inspection and measurement tools
* Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
* Certification in quality inspection is highly desirable
* Strong communication and problem‐solving skills
* Must have current Australian working rights
