Role Overview
With a national delivery capability, Lendlease Construction provides innovative and industry‐leading project management, design and construction services. We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our team in South Australia. In this position you will manage subcontractors and suppliers to deliver successful construction projects, develop and maintain construction programs, implement procurement strategy, value engineer, manage quality and ensure high levels of health and safety.
Job Responsibilities
* Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in planning, executing, and closing out construction projects.
* Prepare and manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
* Review architectural and engineering drawings and specifications for constructability and compliance.
* Monitor and track project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, identifying potential delays or cost overruns.
* Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
* Participate in project meetings, contributing technical expertise and problem‐solving solutions.
* Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures on site.
* Assist in the procurement process, including evaluating bids and managing vendor relationships.
About You
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5–7 years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role within the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and safety regulations.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
* Demonstrated problem‐solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to various project sites as required.
* Familiarity with Australian building codes and standards is highly desirable.
