Reporting directly to the Executive Leadership Team, the Senior National Financial Controller will oversee all financial operations nationally while partnering with operational leaders to improve performance, cash flow, profitability, and financial discipline across the business.
The successful candidate will be a hands‐on leader capable of operating strategically while maintaining strong attention to detail across reporting, controls, forecasting, and commercial management.
Financial Leadership & Strategy
Lead the national finance function across all business units and operating entities.
Deliver strategic financial advice to Executive Management and Directors.
Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long‐term business modelling.
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with Group growth objectives.
Provide commercial insight to support acquisitions, expansion opportunities, and major project delivery.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
Ensure compliance with all statutory, taxation, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain and strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes.
Manage external audits, tax advisors, banking relationships, and key financial stakeholders.
Ensure accuracy and integrity across all financial reporting systems and processes.
Commercial & Operational Performance
Partner with operational leaders to improve project profitability, margin performance, and cost control.
Oversee project financial performance, WIP reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Monitor business performance metrics and deliver meaningful executive reporting and analysis.
Identify operational efficiencies and implement process improvements nationally.
Support tendering, pricing, contract reviews, and commercial negotiations where required.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop the national finance team.
Foster a high‐performance, accountable, and commercially focused culture.
Build scalable finance systems and processes to support continued national growth.
Work collaboratively across operations, delivery, and executive management teams.
