About the Hospital
Smithton District Hospital (SDH) and Community Health Centre is a small sub-acute public hospital situated in Smithton, Tasmania, serving the entire Circular Head region with a catchment population of 8,000. The hospital has 12 subacute beds for general medicine, post-acute care, palliative care, and end‐of‐life services, and a 3‐bay emergency first‐response unit staffed by nurses and General Practitioners.
Role
Relief Ward Clerk – providing 7‐day a week admin coverage for the hospital, supporting the Ward Staff and Administration.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‐quality, customer‐focused reception services.
* Provide administration and clerical support across all areas of SDH.
Appointment Details
* Fixed‐term, casual position, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months.
* Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
For a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full‐time, part‐time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
* $66,049 to $70,993 per annum pro‐rata.
* Employer superannuation contribution of 12% on top of this amount.
* Salary range in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
