Job Description
A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Assistant Manager to join a large-scale cattle operation in Central NSW.
Spanning over 4,000 hectares and running 4,*******,000 head of cattle, the role involves key responsibilities in farm operations.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
Responsibilities
Manage and monitor cattle health, nutrition, and performance
Oversee breeding programs, including joining, calving, and weaning
Drafting, yard work, feeding, and paddock rotation
Maintain detailed records
Mustering (bikes)
Oversee fodder cropping activities, including planting and spraying
Operate and maintain farm machinery and infrastructure
Supervise and work alongside the owner, staff, and contractors
Support planning and decision-making alongside the owners
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role with a strong background in cattle work
Stud knowledge – desirable
Proven ability in processing, branding, and weaning
Experience with property maintenance, including water and fencing infrastructure
Proficiency in machinery operations
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
Welding skills
A high level of physical fitness and the ability to work on their own
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Desirable Qualifications
Truck Licence
Chemical Certificate

A 4-bedroom house is provided, located 45 minutes from a major town with access to schools, a hospital, supermarkets, and other essential services.
A small rural community with schooling is located a short 20-minute drive from the property.
