This position replaces a teacher who was promoted within the school. Three teachers will remain on staff to support a smooth transition.
Location Profile
Strathtulloh Primary School, located on Wurundjeri Country, has 1,250 students and 150 staff as of 2026.
Students are well‐behaved and respectful. The school has a strong focus on positive behaviour support, respectful relationships, and wellbeing.

Selection Criteria
* SC1: Knowledge of relevant curriculum and literacy and numeracy teaching; experience responding to student learning and wellbeing needs.
* SC2: Experience planning and implementing high‐impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
* SC3: Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform practice and giving feedback.
* SC4: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; experience building relationships with students, parents, colleagues and community.
* SC5: Demonstrated behaviours consistent with Department and SPS values; commitment to professional learning.
* SC6: Excellent organisational and time‐management skills; ability to meet deadlines and be proactive.
Role
The classroom teacher is responsible for planning, preparing and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes, engaging in critical reflection and inquiry, and supporting student learning.
At Range 2 teachers further assist in improving student performance and contribute to school policy and professional learning; at Range 1 they focus on classroom management, subject content and teaching practice with support from senior teachers.
Teachers may undertake additional duties as fits their salary range and experience.
Responsibilities
* Direct teaching of groups and individual students
* Contribute to development and evaluation of curriculum areas
* Perform other teaching‐related duties as directed
* Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions
* Carry out supervisory duties as required
Who May Apply
Registered or eligible teachers with the Victorian Institute of Teaching who can teach the specified curriculum areas.

Qualification Requirements
* Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
* Completion of a postgraduate initial teaching programme if undertaken after 1 January 2024.
* For ITE graduates after 1 July 2016, evidence of LANTITE completion.
