Salary: $75,728 – $82,329 per annum (excl. superannuation and annual leave loading)
Work Type: Full-Time – 35 hours per week, 12 months with possibility of extension
Relocation: We will be relocating to a new premises at Parkline Place, 252 Pitt Street, Sydney in July 2026.
About the Role
As a Legal Secretary, you will support three or more solicitors in a specialised legal practice group, handling various administrative tasks to ensure efficient legal service delivery. You will receive on-the-job training and gain experience in all aspects of legal practice administration, working in a friendly, supportive team environment with mentorship from a Senior Legal Secretary and Legal Support Manager.
Key responsibilities include preparing and updating matter documents, maintaining filing and practice management systems, supporting billing processes, and liaising professionally with internal and external stakeholders. From time to time you may be required to support other legal practice groups or divisions in response to organisational priorities. By applying to this role you acknowledge you may be reassigned to any practice group within the Crown Solicitor's Office.

1. Prefers to work full-time and is available to commit to the role on a full-time basis.
2. Exhibits adaptability and openness to being assigned across different roles to meet organisational needs and enhance capability development.
3. Willing to undergo any security clearance process at any time, as directed by the organisation in connection with specific practice groups or broader business requirements.
4. Demonstrated experience in a legal secretarial or high-level administrative support professional environment.
5. Excellent communication skills, exceptional client service focus, and proficiency in core office technology and software applications.
6. Strong skills in document preparation, filing, matter management, and billing support and proactively tracking and driving operations to enable solicitors to focus on their legal work.
7. Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and respond calmly under pressure.
8. High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
9. Confidence using Microsoft Office and legal/admin systems effectively.
