Senior Project Lead
The Senior Project Lead will oversee the reconstruction of a local government facility in response to fire damage.
This is a unique opportunity to manage a high-profile restoration project from pre-handback through to full reoccupation, ensuring successful delivery for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design, planning and delivery of the reconstruction project.
* Provide strategic advice on key decisions and support the Project Control Group.
* Oversee construction contracts, resolve contractor issues, and ensure compliance with legislation and Council policy.
* Administer project budgets and contracts in line with legislation and policy.
* Monitor project progress and recommend improvements to stakeholders.
* Champion risk management and foster a proactive project culture.
* Mentor project staff in contract administration and project delivery.
* Maintain project reporting and develop WHS, Quality, and Environmental Plans.
Requirements:
* Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
* Extensive hands-on construction experience.
* Strong background in contract management, ideally with experience in GC21 contracts and commercial building projects.
* Proven ability to manage financial reporting within construction environments.
* Demonstrated leadership capability with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to drive project success.
* Expertise in tracking and communicating project progress, ensuring delivery aligns with timelines and budget expectations.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work effectively with contractors and stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in MS Project, Word, and Excel to support project planning and reporting.
* NSW Workcover Construction Induction (White Card) – essential.
* Current and valid driver's licence.
