About The Role
* Support the diverse demands for preparatory procedures and practices for government funded and fee for service courses.
* Ensure the appropriate allocation of Automotive materials and resources are provided to support delivery of programs.
* Liaise with suppliers to determine the best and most economic products to be purchased in line with Chisholm's purchasing requirements.
* Provide general assistance in the maintenance and setting up for classroom activities including gallery spaces, for all Automotive programs.
* Provide technical support in the promotion of regular Automotive and Supply Management activities, events and exhibitions, internal and external to the institute.
* Ensuring correct Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) practices and procedures are maintained in accordance to legislation.
* Liaise with the OH&S representative for the Automotive area and respond to the procedures set out within Institute and government guidelines.
About You
You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in carrying out hands on technical activities, coupled with demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools (such as power tools).
Qualifications – Essential
* Current driver's licence
* Current forklift licence
* Certificate III in Automotive Vehicle Mechanical or Indenture of Automotive apprenticeship completion
Qualifications – Desirable
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
* Certificate IV In Work Health and Safety
