JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated team player who has an eye for detail and a drive to 'get it done'.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop detailed mechanical designs and drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
* Manage and control the life cycle of design data using Autodesk Vault.
* Prepare BOM and maintain them using Autodesk Vault PDM.
* Design pressure vessels in compliance with ASME and AS1210 codes.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, change requests, and ECO.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, assembly instructions, and maintenance manuals.
* Carry out and review Engineering calculations to ensure they are consistent with SMARDT's design intent and the applicable codes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during the manufacturing process.
* Provide assistance to production related to design and BOM-related queries.
* Carry out classical engineering calculations and generate calculation sheets.
* Create 3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Materials (BoMs), work instructions, and technical and commercial proposals as required.
* Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
* A minimum of bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
* To be a Chartered Engineer (CPEng)
* Proficient in designing shell and tube heat exchangers.
* Expertise in designing sheet metal and structural components.
* Well-versed in designing HVAC systems.
* Adept in conducting thermal analysis.
* Experience with ASME and AS1210 Pressure Vessel Codes is mandatory.
* Familiarity with ASHREA/ANSI/ASME codes and design requirements is desirable.
* Experience with ASME (UHX) and TEMA for pressure vessel and heat exchanger design is required.
