About the Role

National Parks and Wildlife Service manages over 7 million hectares of diverse ecosystems and plays a vital role in conserving the state's biodiversity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a team undertaking ecological monitoring and supporting evidence-based park management.

The Assistant Project Officer is responsible for undertaking diverse project research, analysis, reporting, implementation and related administrative tasks to support the integration of data services, including field data collection and data visualisation tools.

About You

As an Assistant Project Officer you are adept at providing project and operational support on the collection, management and reporting of ecological and spatial data. Develop practical solutions using new and available technologies and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision-making and evidence-based project planning.

Essential requirements

* Experience in the provision of administrative and support services
* Experience in development and delivery of programs and projects.
* Understanding of contemporary project management principles and practices
