Salary: Teacher, $88,178 - $127,737 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)

This is a 11 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency

Halls Head College (HHC) is uniquely situated on the 'island' of Halls Head just south of Mandurah. The local intake area of HHC is south, close to the Waroona Shire boundary. The contributory primary schools are Glencoe, Halls Head, Falcon, South Halls Head and Ocean Road. The College provides a secondary education for students who live in the rapidly growing coastal strip, south of Mandurah.

The successful applicant will ideally be student and relationship-focused and be able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences. In addition, they should promote an environment of active and positive learning and provide educational opportunities and activities that enable students to achieve their very best.

The successful applicant should be able to deliver an engaging and relevant curriculum in a range of Design and Technology contexts using a positive, student‐focused approach whilst working with students across a range of ability levels. They should have a strong understanding of the requirements across Technologies to ensure students can reach their full potential in all aspects of the Technology and Design Process. The successful applicant should have the knowledge and understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum, and delivery and assessment in lower and upper school courses. Holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or the willingness to obtain one would be highly desirable.

The successful applicant will ideally possess excellent interpersonal skills and a capacity to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment with students, teachers, and the wider community to achieve the best educational outcomes for our students. We seek applicants with a strong growth mindset and the flexibility to employ a wide range of teaching strategies in order to engage and inspire student learning.
