Unique opportunity for a driven and experienced Maintenance Supervisor or Planner to join our high-performing team on a permanent basis, overseeing the day-to‐day maintenance planning and execution across our Lysterfield & Montrose quarries.
You will be reporting through to the Lysterfield Quarry Manager while providing support to the Montrose team; this dynamic and diverse role will oversee the maintenance of fixed and mobile plants at both quarry's, ensuring all permits for contractors on site are accurate and complete, and supervising all trade and maintenance work and ensuring they are completed correctly.
You'll play a crucial role in optimising plant and equipment performance while ensuring compliance with safety standards and adherence to Boral's OH&S, Environmental, and Quality Standards.
Your day will involve:
* Leading and managing a team of maintenance workers during the afternoon and night shift commencing at 3pm across both sites
* Supervising all trade and maintenance of fixed and mobile plants at the Lysterfield and Montrose Quarry
* Oversee contractor inductions and ensure compliance with Boral's requirements.
* Conducting stock takes and SWMS assessments
* Stepping in as relief team leader as required
What are we looking for?
* Experience in Maintenance Planning within quarrying, mining, or materials handling is essential.
* Degree, Diploma, or Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or Boilermaking (preferred).
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a boilermaker or fittser role with a strong team lead background.
* Strong background in crushing and screening and heavy fixed and mobile equipment.
* Tech Savvy individual with excellent communication skills with great attention to detail.
* Strong leadership attributes including initiative to identify, manage, and solve issues as they arise.
