Responsibilities
* Manage production crews, providing leadership for operations and maintaining a safe working environment.
* Adhere to Site Safety Health Management System and Environmental and other statutory management plans.
* Ensure all operations targets are met in line with safety standards.
* Schedule and attend daily pre-start/safety meetings.
* Perform and submit regular Safe Act Observations (SAOs) using site-supplied documentation and reporting process.
* Build and maintain high-performing teams.
* Monitor and evaluate production outcomes and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Previous leadership experience within an open-cut operation.
* Knowledge of current WHS legislation and statutory requirements.
* Flexible and adaptable to different working environments, with strong problem-solving skills.
* Must be a team player with the ability to mentor and lead other staff.
* Strong written and communication skills.
* High focus and demonstrated success in maintaining an excellent safety record for teams.
* Competency using Microsoft Office Suite.
