About the role
As the Specialist – Workforce Capability & Engagement, you will play a critical leadership role in building a skilled,readyand engaged Emergency Services workforce across your state or territory.
You will lead the design and delivery of workforce capability initiatives that ensure our people,staff and volunteers,are prepared to support communities before, during and after emergencies. This includes coordinating training and development programs, strengthening workforce engagement, and driving a strong culture of readiness and continuous improvement.
Working closely with operational leaders and key stakeholders, you will assess workforce capability,identifygaps, and implement targeted solutions that uplift performance,resilienceand response readiness. You will also support local teams to foster a motivated,connectedand high-performing workforce aligned to Red Cross principles and values.
This is a dynamic and impactful role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment and is passionate about developing people and strengthening community outcomes
What you will bring
* You are a capable and experienced professional with a strong background in workforce engagement, community development, volunteermanagementor emergency services.
* You bring demonstrated experience supporting workforce capability and readiness, with the ability to coordinate activities, engage diverse groups and contribute to meaningful outcomes indynamicenvironments. You are confident working both independently and collaboratively, and can effectively prioritise,planand deliver across competing demands.
* Yourstrong communicationand interpersonal skills allow you to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. You are analytical and solutions-focused, with the ability to assess needs,identifyimprovements and contribute to continuous development of people and programs.
* Importantly, you are adaptable,resilientand motivated by purpose, with a genuine commitment to supporting communities through a capable and engaged emergency services workforce.
