The role: Join the Clinical Information Systems Support team and work with a team to provide ongoing development, integration and maintenance of a range of Information Technology systems including the AUSLABTM Laboratory Information system that provides health related data for Queensland Health and its clients.
This includes the support, maintenance, training and troubleshooting related to software installations, configuration and general technical services.
Key responsibilities include: Participate in the day to day activities of a team of specialist technical resources supporting the provision of clinical information that contributes directly to patient care and clinical decision making.
Conduct incident and problem investigation and management for the Laboratory Information System, supporting applications and devices.
Support the business analysis of requirements for any new areas of implementation and development by providing input and advice in relation to configuration and technical issues.
Are you right for this role?
Knowledge across a broad range of information technology solutions, particularly in clinical areas such as pathology, forensic sciences or public health.
Demonstrated ability to analyse issues, develop collaborative solutions with minimal direction, whilst delivering high quality work.
Experience in providing excellent client service in the provision of technical and application support within a best practice IM/ICT framework.
High level interpersonal and written communication skills which reflect the ability to liaise effectively at all levels of Queensland Health, other government and non-government agencies and members of the public.
Previous Experience: Previous experience in ICT service delivery within a clinical applications (AUSLAB/AUSCARE) support setting or previous pathology laboratory operational experience will be highly regarded.
The incumbent of this position may be required to participate in on-call roster arrangements.
