The Role
An opportunity has become available for two Registrar Advanced Trainees (Renal) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-robust team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Be expected to function as a team member with various health care professionals and demonstrate leadership when delivering care to patients
- Work closely with consultants to ensure smooth running of the team and the Renal Department
- Discuss reviewed patients with the on-call consultant and follow up assigned patients seen in other areas of the hospital
- Attend and actively participate in the various Renal meetings
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- Possession of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- AHPRA Registration
- Aged Care Check
- Drivers License
- Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (up to 12 months)
- Base salary ranging from $125 808 - $145 865 per annum

Renal Department of the Gold Coast University Hospital takes pride in delivering evidence based multidisciplinary care to the population of Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. As this department admits all acute renal patients, trainees will be asked to see patients in the Accident and Emergency (A&E;), Medical Day Unit (MDU), Intensivce Care Unit (ICU), outpatients and in sub-specialty wards, we expect the Advanced Trainee Registrar to respond to these requests promptly and ensure they provide appropriate advice and management plan.
