Job Title: Information Security Specialist
This is a challenging role that requires the ability to work in a team environment to develop and implement information security strategies. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of information security principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitate the development and implementation of information security strategies to protect all information assets;
* Provide specialist advice on information security matters, including risk-based assessments and recommendations for mitigation;
* Collaborate with the Information Security Team to develop and maintain an effective information security management system (ISMS);
* Develop and implement specific cyber security strategies to address threats such as ransomware, malware, social engineering and phishing; and
* Provide guidance and advice to business areas on information security best practices.
Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field related to information security, such as computer science or information technology;
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a government agency;
* Proven expertise in information security principles and practices, including risk management and compliance;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
* A high level of analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks;
* Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace;
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
