About the role
At DUAL, we believe risk management works best when it is practical, embedded and genuinely supports the business. As the Risk Officer, you will strengthen and evolve our risk management approach across DUAL ANZ, working closely with teams to help them understand risk, improve controls and make confident decisions.
Reporting to the Risk & Compliance Manager in the Legal & Governance team, your responsibilities include:
* Embedding risk and compliance frameworks in a way that feels relevant, proportionate and commercially aligned.
* Supporting the uplift of internal controls and documenting key processes.
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that make a real difference to how we operate.
* Supporting risk and compliance reviews, assessments and clear, meaningful reporting for senior leaders and the Executive Leadership Team.
* Fostering a strong risk culture in a dynamic underwriting environment through collaboration and problem‐solving.
We are open to applicants located in Sydney and Melbourne.
About you
You are a thoughtful and commercially minded risk professional with 3‐5 years of experience in a risk role who enjoys working closely with the business and building trusted relationships. You bring a solid foundation in risk and compliance and experience applying risk frameworks and internal controls.
* Comfortable analysing information, identifying gaps and working with stakeholders to improve outcomes.
* Able to communicate risk clearly and practically to both technical and non‐technical audiences.
* Balance structure with pragmatism and understand the realities of a fast‐moving underwriting business.
* Motivated by the opportunity to help teams manage risk well while supporting sustainable growth.
