Job Details

Location: Parramatta, Newcastle or Lismore, NSW.

Type: Full-time, Permanent.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid; mix of in-office and work-from-home.

Responsibilities

* Manage a portfolio of workers' compensation claims within the Nominal Insurer scheme, ensuring timely, compliant, and effective outcomes for injured workers and employers.
* Apply your knowledge of the workers' compensation legislation and guidelines to assess liability, coordinate treatment, and support safe, sustainable return to work outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with employers, injured workers, treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers, and internal stakeholders to drive proactive and customer focused claims management.
* Maintain accurate and compliant claim documentation in line with regulatory, contractual, and audit requirements.
* Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
* Work within a supportive, purpose driven team environment that values collaboration, capability development, and high quality customer outcomes.

Qualifications

* Previous experience in workers' compensation claims management with a sound understanding of legislation and statutory claims processes.
* Strong influencing and relationship building skills, supported by clear, confident written and verbal communication.
* A customer centric mindset, focused on achieving positive outcomes for injured workers, employers, and stakeholders.
* Demonstrated resilience and sound judgement when managing complex, sensitive, or high pressure claims scenarios.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
* A proactive, growth focused attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute within a collaborative team setting.
