Enrolled Nurse – Blue Mountains Mental Health Unit
Location : Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital – a 38‑hour full‑time role under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Employment Type : Permanent. Remuneration : $33.77–$36.70 per hour. Application Close : 30 Nov 2025.
This position is integral to the Blue Mountains Mental Health Unit, delivering safe, effective, and culturally sensitive nursing care to consumers. The Enrolled Nurse will work within the defined scope of practice, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting high‑quality mental health nursing services across the region.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective care to consumers in alignment with individual nursing care plans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Accurately collect and document health care information, maintaining clear and professional communication with consumers and the health care team.
- Organise, prioritise, and adapt work to meet the dynamic needs of the mental health unit, responding to specific service requirements.
- Provide recovery‑focused and trauma‑informed, person‑centred care that is family inclusive, culturally sensitive, and informed by evidence‑based practice.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with clinicians, allied health, and support staff to maintain high‑quality mental health services.
- Work a adaptable roster, day, evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements.
Qualifications
- Current registration Division 2 (Division 2 without notation) – Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience and demonstrated skill in mental health nursing.
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
- Demonstrated evidence of providing recovery‑focused and trauma‑informed, person‑centred care that is family inclusive and culturally sensitive.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
