Position Overview
Property Officer (Casual) – Colac Otway Shire Council – Colac, Victoria.
Responsibilities
* Maintain an understanding of the full extent of Council's property assets and their role in supporting the delivery of Council's agreed services.
* Ensure property use agreements are in place for all properties not directly used by Council, including leases, licences and tenancy agreements.
* Provide professional advice and support for acquisition, use and sale of properties, including land and buildings.
* Act as the central point of contact for property users when issues arise with respect to leases, licences and user agreements.
Qualifications
* A relevant tertiary qualification or significant experience in managing a diverse property portfolio, including administration of leases and licences and property use agreements.
* Experience in contract documentation and administration related to property management in accordance with legislation and regulation.
* Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying legislation relevant to the management of publicly‐owned property.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills and ability to engage with key stakeholders to gain consensus and drive outcomes.
* Experience in developing submissions, policies, procedures, strategies and reports.
* Current driver's licence.
Salary
$54.90 to $59.21 per hour plus superannuation.
