Are you passionate about European flavours, deli meats, rustic pizzas, and running a venue with true ownership? We’re looking for a hands‑on European Chef / Deli Manager to lead our deli and pizza offering at Oxley Village Markets and Papa Lugi’s – someone who loves great food, vibrant hospitality, and taking charge of a bustling, community‑focused space.

What You’ll Be Doing

Kitchen & Food Responsibilities

- Preparing and slicing European deli meats, cheeses, antipasti, and specialty products
- Making pizzas and creating classic + creative European‑inspired menu items
- Contributing to menu development and weekly specials
- Maintaining kitchen standards, food safety, and quality control
- Ensuring all food leaving the pass is consistent, delicious, and beautifully presented

Leadership & Venue Management

- Taking ownership of day‑to‑day operations across the deli and pizza departments
- Overseeing and training restaurant and deli staff
- Managing stock, ordering, supplier relationships, and cost control
- Coordinating prep schedules and ensuring smooth service
- Upholding high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency
- Working closely with ownership to elevate the brand and guest experience

What We’re Looking For

- Experience as a chef, cook, deli manager, or similar role
- Strong understanding of European deli products and pizza preparation
- Confident leadership and communication skills
- Reliable, organised, and proactive attitude
- Someone who treats the venue as if it’s their own
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with autonomy
- Passion for food and creating memorable guest experiences
