About The Role
As our Commercial Credit Manager, you’ll be responsible for the credit assessment of BOQ Specialist originated business lending submissions, including the financing of Commercial Property, Goodwill, Escrow, and Asset Finance.
This role ensures that business lending activities align with our Group’s Credit Policies and procedures, mitigating policy exceptions where necessary. It involves analyzing, assessing, and making decisions on BOQ Specialist commercial loan submissions, exercising an appropriate DAA.
The role also requires delivering credit decisions within a prescribed acceptable time (SLA), engaging with the front-line sales team (ECs) on lending assessments, and promoting a credit culture through coaching or mentoring.
About You
To thrive in this role, you should have a background in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline. Experience in business banking, business credit-related lending, and a passion for providing excellent customer service are essential.
You should be adept at reading, understanding, and analyzing complex financial statements, and capable of considering a broad range of factors in structuring and decisioning proposals. Knowledge of property valuation principles and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team are important.
