With a strong commitment to safety, technical excellence, and innovation, we are expanding our engineering team and seeking a Structures Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join our bases on the Sunshine Coast.
The Role
As a Structures AME, you will be responsible for performing structural repairs, modifications, and maintenance on our diverse rotary-wing fleet including Bell 214B, Bell 214ST, AS355, B206 and B47 helicopters.
This role offers exposure to a wide range of challenging work, both scheduled and unscheduled, in a supportive and dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out structural inspections, repairs, and component fabrication in accordance with CASA regulations and company procedures
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
- Use metal forming, riveting, bonding, and composite repair techniques
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of maintenance activities
- Work collaboratively with the broader maintenance team to support operational readiness
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures) or equivalent trade qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in structural maintenance and repair, preferably on rotary-wing aircraft
- Understanding of CASA regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be eligible to live and work in Australia
Desirable
- Previous experience with Bell series helicopters
- Experience in composite and bonded structures
- Familiarity with CASA/ FAA Part 145 maintenance environments
