Clinical Lead – Fire Sprinkler Project
Position: Fixed term, Full time, 12 Months.
Closing Date: 08/06/2026.
Role: Provide clinical governance and oversight throughout the planning and delivery of fire sprinkler upgrade works across operational healthcare environments.
Responsibilities
* Identify and manage risks within the designated clinical and non‐clinical areas, ensuring risk assessments are undertaken and mitigations are planned and included in the staging plans.
* Develop and manage day‐to‐day staging plans within the agreed project schedule.
* Act as the liaison point for operational areas, installers and support services, managing day‐to‐day activities as per the staging plan.
* Ensure clinical and operational teams have developed timely decanting or operational plans to ensure smooth transitions as scheduled.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with the project team, and clinical and operational staff throughout the project to ensure a smooth delivery of the installation works.
* Ensure contractors are undertaking works appropriately in all work areas, working collaboratively with the F&M coordinator.
* Participate in the Infection & Prevention Surveillance Committee meetings.
* Manage weekly progress reports on the 2‐week look‐ahead to all stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in clinical or health‐facility project management, with a strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems.
* Ability to develop and manage staging plans within project schedules.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with proven experience liaising between clinical services, project teams and contractors.
* Understanding of infection prevention and the ability to participate in surveillance committee meetings.
* Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and ensure works are undertaken appropriately in all work areas.
* Commitment to participating in infection & prevention surveillance committee meetings and managing weekly progress reporting.
* Commitment to maintaining mandatory vaccinations as required by relevant regulatory guidance.
