Heavy Equipment Operator
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Mount Gambier, SA. The successful candidate will have a Construction White Card (General Construction Induction Card) and a minimum of 2 years of practical experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Select, inspect, and prepare appropriate rigging equipment for heavy machinery operation.
* Inspect and prepare loads for transport and storage.
* Manoeuvre loads using cranes and manually operated equipment.
* Maintain and perform regular checks on rigging equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
* Assist in the interpretation of construction plans and set out requirements.
* Erect steel frames and support structures.
* Perform small site fabrication tasks as required.
* Operate cranes safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and OH&S regulations.
This is a full-time permanent position within our team. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail, quality, and safety. As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination including functional, audiometric, and drug and alcohol testing.
