Eligibility Requirements
* Australian Citizenship is essential
* Current registration as a practising pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Responsibilities
* Evaluate and finalise a variety of minor variation applications for prescription medicines with a high level of accuracy within the regulatory framework, under the supervision of a delegate
* Review Consumer Medicine Information (CMI) for new medicines applications within legislated time frames
* Assist in training and support of new team members as required
* Work effectively as a team member within the allocation of work within a 'pool'; demonstrating flexibility and innovation to overcome obstacles
* Assist in the preparation of Ministerial correspondence, briefings and responses to public enquiries as required
* Assist in the review and maintenance of relevant procedures, policies and standards with the branch and wider organisation to maintain consistent process and service delivery
* Liaise and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to solve issues relating to prescription medicines and minor variation submissions
* Assist in the provision of legislative and clinical advice within the branch and TGA
* Assist in the strategic planning for the Section by contributing to business and operational process improvements
* Administrative tasks as required for the Section, and other Medical Officer delegates as required
* Participate as an active member of the Trade Name team
* Other duties as requested by the supervisor, Director, Assistant Secretary or Executive

* Ability to gain an in-depth knowledge of TGA's legislative and administrative frameworks, decision‐making processes, guidelines and regulations
* Ability to make balanced decisions using professional judgement
* Well‐developed written and oral communications skills
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing priorities and deadlines
* Demonstrated ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Demonstrated ability to adapt, problem‐solve and assist with implementing new systems and processes
* Demonstrated experience in being an engaged team‐player
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and self‐motivate
Desirable
* Experience in, or the ability to understand, the regulation of therapeutic goods in Australia
