About the Role
Lighthouse Christian College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Teacher to join our team in a full-time, 12-month contract position.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to teach VCE Chemistry alongside Junior Secondary Art and Visual Communication, within a supportive and faith-centered school community.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs in Chemistry and Arts
* Plan, assess, and report on student progress
* Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
* Contribute to curriculum development and faculty initiatives
* Participate in College events, meetings, and co-curricular activities
Desirable (but not essential)
* Ability to teach additional Science subjects
* Experience with Maker Space or interdisciplinary learning
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
* Hold a current VIT registration
* Demonstrate a commitment to child safety
* Alignment with Christian values and the College's ethos is an essential requirement for this position
* Hold a bachelor's degree with a recognized teaching qualification
* Be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent residency visa
