Position: Fleet Coordinator
Location: Bunbury
Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 per year
Hours: 45-hour work week

Traffic Force is seeking an experienced and proactive Fleet Coordinator to oversee our fleet, equipment, and assets. This hands-on role requires a structured, organised, and technically minded individual who can lead asset coordination, streamline operational processes, and support our operations team.
You will ensure vehicles and equipment are safe, compliant, well-maintained, and efficiently utilised, while mentoring the team and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. This role requires regular travel between our Bunbury and Perth depots, so flexibility and reliability are essential.
Responsibilities & Core Duties
Fleet & Asset Coordination
1. Maintain, review, and improve asset-related documentation (SOPs, SWMS, checklists, guidelines)
2. Lead asset lifecycle coordination: procurement, fit-out, maintenance, inspections, and disposal
3. Oversee preventative maintenance schedules, repairs, and service coordination
4. Minimise downtime and operational costs while maximising fleet efficiency
5. Track vehicle, equipment, and asset compliance, registration, licensing, and insurance
Operational Support & Leadership
1. Mentor and guide team members on asset usage, safety, and fault-finding
2. Analyse team performance, driver reports, and implement improvements
3. Support incident and accident investigations related to assets
4. Coordinate operational KPIs and report key metrics accurately and promptly
5. Provide support to other operational areas and depots as needed
Facilities & Security
1. Ensure company facilities are maintained, hazard-free, and compliant with lease requirements
2. Coordinate security, key access, and facility-related service providers
Must Have Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
1. WA C Class manual drivers licence (HR licence would be highly regarded)
2. Minimum 5 years' experience in scheduling/coordination in the construction, transport or retail industries. Prior experience in a mechanical background (or strong personal interest in this area) would be advantageous.
3. Demonstrated ability and willingness to pitch in, take initiative, and help keep things moving. If you're hands-on, action-driven, and happy to step away from the desk when needed, you'll fit right in.
4. Demonstrated strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and the confidence to deal with a variety of people on a daily basis. You will be required to document in electronic systems daily.
5. Demonstrated strong logical thinking and creative problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone who has the ability to think on their feet, forward plan and adapt to change in a fast paced environment.
6. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow documented processes
7. Demonstrated experience being a team player
8. Has proven experience working from a structured checklist with KPIs and individual daily deadlines.
